These posts are where we dig into my phone and reflect on some of the awesome times I had. Maybe you were there for some; maybe you should try to be there this upcoming year, I do tend to have fun! It’s December 29th and I’m looking back to March. There’s no way I’ll finish the year this year but let’s see how many months I can get through today.
So, that’s what I did in March, coupled with school (Beer Styles I), it was a full and super fun month. What did you do in March that was awesome?
Member February? Ooh, I member. An entire season of South Park has been reduced to one amazing joke in my head, I can’t stop it, it took on a life of its own. These posts are where we dig into my phone and reflect on some of the awesome times I had. Maybe you were there for some; maybe you should try to be there this upcoming year, I do tend to have fun!
So there you have my February happenings! Did you do anything awesome in Feb? Let me know!
What? Super rare you say? That’s all us beer geeks need to get ourselves worked into an “I’m entitled to this” frenzy of epic proportions. Everything is relative, right? So Brian, what do you mean by super rare? Cellar 3 will be releasing only 600 bottles of this unique beer, Ochre Frumento, that has spent just over 6 years in its oaky home (first brandy barrels and then bourbon barrels). To put that into perspective, this beer is older than more than 100 San Diego breweries, think about that for a minute, ok, don’t, it’ll hurt your head. For a brewery like Green Flash, this amount of bottles is like me offering a one bottle release of my home brew.
No Brown Paper Tickets, no Eventbrite, no proxies, and no reservations for this two bottle per person beer. You can send your friends though, well, I’m assuming they are humans. To get this fine product, the second release in the Cellar 3 Barrelmaster’s Reserve Series, you must (gasp) actually go to Cellar 3 on Saturday, September 17th! See how I expertly conveyed all the information in this (^) graphic!? With an ABV of 17.5% do you really need 2? Uhh, hell yes you do! Hey you, yes you, don’t look over your shoulder! I’ve been stuck in this #indiebeer conversation for some time and I’m here to say, no, that won’t be the focus of my blog; it did, however, consume all my time for a bit. This is the beginning of my blog returning to what it has always been about, drinking amazing, craft beer, and more importantly, fun!
I’ve had some awesome beerventures lately and I wanted to share some of them with you. First up, have I said publicly that I’m in the SDSU Business of Craft Beer certificate program? Well, if not, I just did! I’m coming to the end of my second class, Beer Styles 1, and have been having a blast so far. I’m in the program to deepen my knowledge of craft beer and the business surrounding this amazing community/industry. The picture you’re looking at is an example of the beers we sampled one night. If you’re interested in craft beer I can’t recommend the program enough, get enrolled today. Continue reading “Sore Eye Sudsing”
